COC hosted its annual Safety Awareness Day on Sunday, June 4th, to a massive turnout of over four thousand children accompanied by adults.
Over 2,000 bicycle helmets, along with informational flyers on pertinent safety data, were distributed at the safety event to eligible attendees.
The participating children were delighted with the free handouts, frozen treats, and spirited music and enjoyed getting their faces painted by a professional face painter.
The event was an incredible success, with attendees reporting increased bicycle safety awareness, such as the importance of instituting NYS safety recommendations and helmet use.
The COC is grateful to its event sponsors, including Fidelis Care, Chestnut Ridge Transportation, Mehadrin, Good Samaritan Hospital, Evergreen Kosher Supermarket, Interstate Toyota, Crown Castle Fiber, and Music Unlimited, who played a pivotal role in promoting safety awareness.
